Update on World Jamboree Activities:

Western Region has completed selection of leadership positions for the Troops and Crews in our area.  Recruiting has been very successful and we have received approval for an additional troop in Northern California.  Membership of that 7th troop will be formulated by regional locations.  There are spaces for everyone that has registered and completed applications.  We are still encouraging Scouts to sign up for this great experience. All troops are nearing full rosters.  If you would like information regarding the Jamboree, log into the 2007 BSA World Scout Jamboree Website at; www.scouting.org/jamboree/world   select the window with the Jamboree Bulletins, #1, #2, #3 and #4.  Important information is listed and these bulletins will answer many of your questions.

There are two adult leadership positions that were selected from Scouters in the Greater Yosemite Council;  Dan’l Adams, Ceres and Cliff Bailey, Turlock are Scoutmasters for Northern California/Nevada World Jamboree Troops.  Announcements for those selected by the United Kingdom Scout Association for positions on the International Service Team that will staff the 21st World Jamboree should be made starting in September.  The 2007 World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) will be the 100th anniversary of World Scouting. It is our goal to have a safe, fun, once-in-a-lifetime experience for our youth.
