Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet Contacts Scouts and Scouters Worldwide

On Saturday, October 21st., Scouts had an opportunity to participate in BSA's annual Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet.  Our council's event was organized by Cliff Bailey and sponsored by the Turlock Amateur Radio Club.  Scouting families had an opportunity to experience sending morse code, talking on a HAM radio and sending internet messages by radio.  Scouts made contact with individuals throughout the United States and also Japan, Guam and Canada.  The Turlock Amateur Radio Club plans to participate again next year.
