Recharter Information - Registration Fee Increase

The National Executive Board unanimously passed a resolution at its May 2009 meeting to increase the traditional membership annual registration fee for youth and adults from $10 to $15 effective January 1, 2010. The annual Exploring fee will remain $10.

Mariposa Scout Centennial 100th Anniversary

Come join the party on Saturday, February 20th.  Lunch will held at 12:00 PM at the Mariposa Fairgrounds Building A & B.  Doors open at 11:30 AM.  The featured speaker for the afternoon is Chuck Smith, retired CEO of ATT Company and a Distinguished Eagle Scout.

Come join the fun and help the Greater Yosemite Council Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in America!  See you there!

Attention All Units

The NEW Unit Program Planner also known as the calendar is now available at your upcoming roundtables.  If you are unable to attend your District Roundtable then stop by the Council Service Center in Modesto or in the Stockton Office (open from Noon-5:00pm).  Check out the calendar to assist with what is happening around the council.  Summer camp dates are in the calendar for your Scouts who are planning to attend Summer Day Camp,  Camp Akela at McConnell, Webelos Adventure at Mensinger and Boy Scout Summer Camp at Mensinger.  Also, listed are training events throughout the Council and Districts.

The Northern California 100th Anniversary Jamboree

April 15-18, 2010

In 2010 the Boy Scouts of America is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with activities and programs scheduled throughout the year.  The largest event in Northern California will be the 100th Anniversary Jamboree at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity!  A joint production of Northern California Councils, the 100th Anniversary Jamboree will be a huge gathering of Cubs, Scouts, Sea Scouts, Explorers and Venturers for a memorable weekend of fun and activities.

Tour Permits Online Submit and Online Approval

BSA Introduces Online Learning Center, offering Youth Protection Training, Cub Scout Leader Fast Start, Boy Scout Leader Fast Start, Venturing Advisor Fast Start, Troop Committee Challenge, Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, Venture Crew Orientation, and Venturer Youth Protection Training.

BSA offers new supplemental training modules. These training modules are designed to provide orientation beyond the basic training offered in New Leader Essentials and leader-specific training.
